Get Involved with Justice Work
as a Church
The Church has a vital role to play in the work of justice—not just through charity, but through bold, sustained action that reflects God’s heart for the oppressed.
At ASJ, we help churches move from compassion to impact by offering tools, prayer guides, stories, and direct ways to engage with our justice work in Honduras. Whether you’re a small group leader, pastor, or missions director, your church can partner with ASJ to confront injustice and help renew systems in a way that engages our faith and advances human dignity.
What are practical ways our church can support justice work?
You can start a justice-focused bible study group, fundraise for specific ASJ programs, host educational events, host a book study, build relationships with local Honduran businesses and community groups, or partner with us through regular giving. Every action helps amplify impact.
Does ASJ offer resources for churches to use?
Yes. We provide downloadable prayer guides, bible studies, real-life justice stories, videos, and church-friendly teaching materials to help congregations engage meaningfully and biblically.
Is this only for large churches or denominations?
Not at all. We work with churches of all sizes—from rural congregations to global networks. The goal isn’t scale—it’s faithfulness. Any church can take part in God’s justice work.
We strive to be brave Christians, dedicated to doing justice in Honduras and to inspiring others around the world to seek justice in their own contexts.
In Honduras
We work together with our partner organization ASJ-Honduras as they seek justice, work for peace, and lead systemic reform in Honduras.
Written by ASJ Co-Founder Kurt Ver Beek and Christian philosopher Nicholas Wolterstorff, Call for Justice draws on stories from Honduras to illustrate what it means to do justice. It provides a practical and inspiring guide to seeking justice in our everyday lives.
As a Justice Partner, you are part of a committed group of supporters who give monthly to sustain the work of justice. Justice Partners are a community of over 285 passionate justice-seekers who believe that building a more just society in Honduras is possible.
